Roy Orbison was one of popular musics most enthralling acts in the 1960s, with a bevy of hits. His star began to shine again in the 1980s, after a string of successful covers of his songs as well as the use of his music in David Lynchs acclaimed Blue Velvet (1986). On December 4, 1988, Orbison and his band took the stage at the Front Row Theater in Ohio, delivering a powerful set packed with classic hits. It is this electrifying performance that makes up the CD portion of this set. Roy tackles Only the Lonely, In Dreams, Blue Bayou, Ooby Dooby and Oh, Pretty Woman with the fire of a man half his age. It makes the reality of history - that two days later, Roy had died of a heart attack at age of 52 - all the more stunning. This set also features rare and unreleased video footage from this period. In addition to a photo gallery from Roys final concert and a rare 11-minute interview, The DVD includes selections from two rare live sets, from 1981 and 1986. (bron: Sony Music)
