Concert uit 1997 dat bewijst dat de (rhythm &) blues-zanger ook op latere leeftijd nog vocale potten kon breken. "For the first time available on DVD, legendary blues vocalist Bobby Bland with his unique vocal growl brings us a set of his finest songs live from the home of the blues; Beale Street, Memphis. Starting out as B.B. Kings driver, he had his first number 1 R&B hit in 1957 on the Duke label where he spent fifteen years before moving onto ABC Dunhill eventually being taken over by MCA. In 1985 he signed to Malaco which was to revive his career giving him a new R&B chart entry with the track "Members Only". The concert setlist covers the 40 years of his career and includes his first No. 1 hit "Further up the Road" as well as "I'll Take Care Of You", "I Pity the fool", "Stormy Monday Blues", "That's The Way Love Is" as well as his "Members Only". Alongside his regular backing band there are guest appearances from his long time friends Johnnie Taylor and Bobby Rush." (Malaco)
