Twenty Thousand Roads {Live In Washington & Roslyn, 1976} (2014)

These 1976 performances include the line-up of The Hot Band featuring Albert Lee. The first show from March 1976 contains material from both "Pieces Of The Sky" and "Elite Hotel" alongside classic country songs and a pair of songs from Gram Parsons. The second set from just six months later contains a similar mix but also includes songs from Emmylou's next album due early in 1977 "Luxury Liner". The liner notes are by broadcaster/author Jon Kirkman. Recorded at the Warner Theater, Washington DC March 28th 1976. Emmylou Harris: guitar/vocals, Glen D. Hardin: piano, Rodney Crowell: rhythm guitar/harmony vocals, Emory Gordy: Bass/banjo/high harmony, John Ware: drums, Hank De Vito: pedal steel/Dobro, Albert Lee: lead guitar. Guests: Fayssoux Starling: vocal, John Starling: vocal/acoustic guitar, Mike Auldridge: Dobro. (bron: FM Records) NB: dit is een radioopname van een 38 jaar oude tape, die in niet al te beste conditie meer was. Er zijn nogal wat passages waar dit invloed heeft de geluidskwaliteit.
