Koppeling van vier in de periode 1987 - 1995 los verschenen kerstalbums van het Taverner Consort: "Festive Music from Europe and America", "Nine Centuries of Seasonal Music" en deel I en II van "The Carol Album: Seven Centuries Of Christmas Music". Het repertoire is dus breed: van liederen waarvan de historie teruggaat tot de middeleeuwen en de Renaissance tot Praetorius' "In dulce jubilo" tot Liszts "Adeste Fideles" tot Anton Webern ("Dormi Jesu") aan toe.
