De in de country gepokt en gemazelde, maar veel breder georiënteerde zangeressen Linda Ronstadt en Emmylou Harris werkten in hun carrières enkele keren samen. In 1999 maakten ze het fraaie "Western Hall - Tuscon Sessions". Vervolgens kwam er ook een Amerikaans tourneetje. Een groep topmuzikanten uit de country- en americana-wereld kreeg een week om dik 2 uur aan materiaal in te studeren. In deze groep vinden we niemand minder dan Greg Leisz, Evan Johns, Buddy Miller en Bernie Leadon. Miller speelde toen al een tijd in Harris' band Spyboy, Leadon werkte al mee aan Ronstadts vroegste platen, eind jaren 60 en zat in haar begeleidingsband, waaruit vervolgens The Eagles ontstond. Met die groep werd een concert gegeven dat live door een Amerikaans radiostation werd uitgezonden en dat is op deze dubbelaar uit het 'grijze circuit' (wel legaal, maar zonder directe toestemming van de rechthebbenden) met liefst 30 songs te vinden. In het begin van de opname zit een rare storing, maar dat is gelukkig snel verholpen.
