Cellist and composer Ernst Reijseger crosses borders and creates his own sound world without barriers. Reiseger composed the soundtrack for Herzogs fantastic word of images, which he made under extreme circumstances in the largest salt desert on earth, the »Salar de Uyuni«, 3700 meter above sea level. Reijseger reveals a sheer infinite diversity featuring the Voches de Sardinna, the classical flute player Erik Bosgraaf, the jazz piano player Harman Fraanje from The Netherlands, the accordion player Luciano Biondini from Italy, the Scottish percussionist Alan 'Gunga' Purves, the classical Netherlands Wind Ensemble (NBE), and the voice from Senegal, Mola Sylla. Reijsgers orchestra with musicians from diverse cultural circles merged into one unit as it has rarely been heard before. Reijseger composes the whole soundtrack, he writes especially for each performing artist and he directs his ensemble with sure touch. His work combines different influences into a new whole.
