"MacLeod and his band continue in a storytelling jazz-tinged blues bag, whether in "Just Like a Minstrel," twhere he bemoans the trials and tribulations of road life (eating cold hot dogs and sleeping in dirty hotel rooms) or in "One Fool Lookin' for Another," recalling troubles with women. Hammond B-3 and military drum rolls underlie "Placquemine," telling of a man who trails a lover from place to place, only to find her using him as a stepping stone toward a Hollywood career. Fellow George Smith alumna Rod Piazza accompanies and blows an ultra cool solo on "(I Think You're) Steppin' Out on Me." "SRV (For Stevie Ray)," is an inspirational instrumental which is both a tribute and a thank you to the great Mr. Vaughan." (allmusic.com)
