"As its title implies, the Coldplay of "Moon Music" aren’t coming back down to Earth any time soon. The album is the second part of their Music of the Spheres project. But unlike other space-travel rock or pop or soul artists, Chris Martin isn’t lifting off into the Milky Way to escape our fallen world. He’s out there to find himself. Martin sings on the album-opening title track, a widening New Age gyre of celestial orchestrations that eventually resolves into a searching, spare piano melody that sounds like Elton John doing Erik Satie. “I’m trying to trust in the heavens above, and I’m trying to trust in a world full of love.” Moon Music is only 10 songs, but it’s a lot, and that’s the idea — the pop-rock LP as social, psychological, and metaphysical cold-plunge. When Martin swung by the Rolling Stone office to preview the album for our staff, he sat on the floor, as if literally grounding himself to take in the enormity of what he hath wrought." "Krezip was de afgelopen weken even wereldnieuws, door drummer Bram van den Berg uit te lenen aan U2. De plek op zijn kruk wordt de komende maanden ingenomen door Bram Hakkens, onder andere bekend van Kyteman’s Orchestra. Een mooi avontuur in het walhalla van de supersterren van de popmuziek, maar laten we niet vergeten dat Krezip bij de heroprichting op eigen kracht drie keer de Ziggo Dome vol speelde. Ook het reüniealbum "Sweet High" deed het verrassend goed en bevatte met Lost Without You een mooie aanvulling op de eigen canon. Dat Krezip inmiddels weer draait alsof er nooit pauze is gehouden, lijkt dan ook niet meer dan logisch. Net als "Sweet High" is "Any Day Now" een gestileerde popplaat, maar met een eigen karakter en een aantal opmerkelijke details. Het duet "Make It A Memory" met oud-klasgenoot Danny Vera is al een hit en lijkt hard op weg richting de Top 2000. Ook "You Are You, met ingetogen tokkelwerk" van Jan Peter Hoekstra, heeft alles in zich om een blijvertje in de setlist te worden." (OOR)
