Unavoidable, due to the era of the recording, is the record crackle and hiss, which is quite pronounced on some tracks. Regardless, this is a gem for fans of early Greek singers, and early world music recordings in general. Some of the vocalists who sing these romantic tangos are Sofia Vembo, Dimitris Philipopoulos, Danae, Eleni de Rose, Angela Lykiardopoulou, and P. Epitropakis. Rare, old 78s by these artists and more are cleaned up and lovingly compiled into this installment of FM Records' Greek Archives series.
