De soundtrack van de film met David Bowie en Sakamoto himself. Een plaat die destijds veel indruk maakte. De muziek komt het beste tot z'n recht met de beelden, maar zonder blijft het aangenaam.
Met een geweldig spelende Toots Thielemans ('Dat Mistige Rooie Beest'), het heerlijke gefloten thema 'Requim Voor Eeen Dooie Mus' en relaxte pianojazz van Louis van Dijk & Trio.
