Rodolfo Halffter Escriche (20 oktober 1900 - 14 oktober 1987) was een Spaanse-Mexicaanse componist. Hij werd geboren in Madrid in een familie van musici; hij was de broer van Ernesto Halffter en oom van Cristóbal Halffter. Zijn vader Ernesto Halffter Hein kwam oorspronkelijk uit Königsberg, Duitsland. Zijn moeder was een Catalaanse die de eerste muzieklessen aan haar kinderen gaf. Vanwege zijn actieve rol in het verzet tegen Franco ging hij in ballingschap in Mexico. Aldaar onderwees hij aan het Nationale Conservatorium en was hij directeur van 'Ediciones Mexicanas de Música'.
Enrique Bátiz is a Mexican conductor and pianist, who has in his long career conducted the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México (OSEM) or State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra (which he founded), and the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra. Before that, he had studied piano and conducting at New Yorks Juilliard School of Music. Bátiz competed in the Warsaw Chopin Competition, and toured with orchestras in Poland, and solo recitals in Belgium in the 1960s. Hes recorded the complete symphonies of Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, and all the orchestra music written by Rodrigo, Ponce and Bizet. His 145 recordings feature the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as his Mexican ensembles. (...)
