This Deluxe Edition boxed set contains a full-length concert film (The Concert) on Blu-ray; a 2CD album (The Music) featuring previously unreleased tracks and bonus material; and, as an exclusive, the "Showtime" documentary film chronicling Billys 1987 Soviet Tour, directed by four-time Emmy-winner Jim Brown. In addition, the Deluxe Edition comes with a book containing rare photos and new liner notesincluding first-hand accounts from writers and journalists who were there. The 2CD set expands on 1987s "Kohuept", with 12 previously unreleased performances. It contains newly restored and remastered material from "Live In Leningrad, 1987", a full-length concert film that has been unseen since its VHS release. For its Blu-ray debut, "The Concert" has been remastered from the original 35 millimeter negative and expanded to include 12 previously unreleased performances, more than doubling the running time of the original release.

In 2008 werd het New Yorkse honkbalstadion Shea Stadium, 45 jaar het huisstadion van The New York Mets, gesloten. Een echte New Yorker mocht de uitluide doen: Billy Joel. Hij speelt een afgewogen set met oudere en latere songs, grote hits en wat onbekendere albumtracks. Zo speelt hij "Everybody Loves You Now Zanzibar" natuurlijk vooral omdat de New York Mets in de tekst voorkomen. Bij zo'n groot festijn, waar een kleine 100.000 mensen naar kwamen kijken, horen natuurlijk speciale gasten. Zo zingt Garth Brooks het door Joel geschreven "Shameless". En natuurlijk kon Paul McCartney niet ontbreken. Waarom niet? Nou, niet alleen is Joel een groot Beatles-bewonderaar, The Beatles speelden in Shea Stadium toen het nog gloednieuw was, in 1964.
