Alva Noto is de artiestennaam van de Duitse electronica-muzikant Carsten Nicolai. Hier werkt hij samen met de Japanse electronicamuziek-autoriteit Sakamoto. Deze uit zich de laatste jaren steeds vaker als haast minimaal pianist/componist. Ook voor dit project levert hij transparante piano-miniaturen, die door Alva Noto met chirurgische precisie worden verrijkt met subtiele laptop-glitch-knispergeluiden.
