Opnamen gemaakt tijdens een tournee door Europa in 1981. ""This 4 track CD covers parts of the 1981 tour of Europe. Sound is of good quality even though a few solos start off mike. Stand out track is "Variation on the Misery" with a great solo by Steve Grossman followed with a blistering guitar outing by Hiram Bullock (outstanding support also from drummer Omar Hakim). "Jelly Roll" is another fine track which includes an off-beat vocal by Marvin Peterson along with his fine trumpet work." (Vinyl Word)

His debut for Warner Brothers was a major commercial success and helped make him into a major name. The music is fairly commercial but certainly danceable and melodic. Even at that point in time, Sanborn's alto cries were immediately recognizable; the Brecker Brothers, guitarist Steve Khan and Howard Johnson on baritone and tuba are prominent in support." Op dit album uit 1995 speelt de alt-saxofonist met een uitstekende band (o.a. Steve Gadd, Don Grolnick, Christian McBride) een stel standards, die aangekleed zijn met strijkersarrangementen. Twee songs zijn vocaal, door Oleta Adams en Jimmy Scott.
