London Baroque speelt op 22 oktober 2014 de Sonate in G van J.C.F. Bach in De Grote Kerk in Enschede. Hier hoort u Camerata Köln. "While generally believed to be among J.S. Bachs least interesting composer sons, J.C.F. Bach apparently was quite capable of creating some excellent music, as demonstrated here by members of the Camerata Köln. The pensive yet ravishing Larghetto of the A major cello sonata is absolutely gorgeousespecially when contrasted with the inventive array of melodic variations in the following Allegro and the pieces charming Tempo di Minuetto conclusion. The programs centerpiecethe Sonata in E minor scored for transverse flute, viola, and continuois even more compelling, primarily due to the composers more overt use of Italian stylistic influences. CPOs sound is exemplaryrichly detailed and expertly balanced. In sum, a delightful surprise that will surely interest chamber music enthusiasts of this period. Recommended."
